Librarie Loeb-Larocque specializes in maps, atlases and travel books from the 16th - 19th century. The firm was founded in 1958 by my father Louis Loeb-Larocque. Orginally from Germany he arrived, shortly after the War in France. He started an antiquarian map and book shop fist in Monaco, but shortly after he moved to Paris. He build a company specializing in early maps, atlases, travel books and prints. The shop was housed until my father's death in 1996 at Rue Le Peletier in Paris and was frequently visited by collectors and fellow dealers from all parts of the world. I jointed the company in 1982, but basically I'm interested in books since my childhood. Present-day the librarie is located in Paris in the lively 13th district at 31, rue de Tolbiac, a 5 minutes walk from the Biliotheque National de France and China Town. Visitors are welcome by appointment from monday till friday. We carry a fine stock of maps of all parts of the world, atlases, prints and illustrated books. <B>Expert</B> Beside being an expert for individual items in auctions held at Drouot I'm the main expert in the November auction of Renaud-Giquello offering fine and rare maps and views, atlases, prints and travel books. The next auction will be taking place on 9 November 2007. There is a printed catalogue and an on-line catalogue. The last one has 180 illustrations in colour, and includes also the late arrivals, not included in the printed catalogue. The printed catalogue is also illustrated and is mailed out early November. <B>Paris Map & Travel book Fair</B> We are co-organizer of the "Paris Map & Travel book Fair" at the Hotel Ambassador, November 10, 2007. <b>La librairie</b> Librairie Loeb-Larocque, spécialiste en cartes géographiques, atlas et livres de voyages du XVIe au XIXe siècle. Fondée par mon père, en 1958, la boutique était spécialisée dans les cartes géographiques, atlas, estampes et livres de voyages anciens et était fréquemment visitée par des collectionneurs et des marchands venant du monde entier. Les livres, atlas et cartes géographiques ont bercé toute mon enfance et en 1982, j'ai rejoint la boutique de mon père. Jusqu'à la mort de mon père, en 1996, le magasin était situé rue le Peletier à Paris. Actuellement, nos locaux se trouvent 31, rue de Tolbiac, dans le XIIIe arrondissement (Sur rendez-vous). <B>Expert</B> Depuis 1976, Loeb-Larocque propose, en novembre, une vente aux enchères annuelle de cartes géographiques, vues, atlas, estampes et livres de voyages anciens. Le catalogue en ligne comprend 180 illustrations en couleurs et inclut également les lots de dernière minute qui ne figurent pas au catalogue imprimé.
